Lake Havasu is no longer a secret. Over 2.5 million tourists visit Lake Havasu every year and almost 60,000 residents have made the area full time home. Because of the ideal autumn, winter and spring temperatures, many snowbirds make Lake Havasu City their winter home to escape the cold, snowy climate in the midwest and Canada.

Water recreation and outdoor adventure is the primary lure. The 45-mile long Lake Havasu with over 400 miles of shoreline is the prime attraction. The lake was formed by the building of Parker Dam on the Colorado River which divides the states of Arizona and California. The crystal clear blue waters entice boating enthusiasts and those that love to water-ski, jet-ski, kayak, sail, canoe, swim, fish, and camp. Parasailing over the lake gets the adrenalin pumping.
